Note: The date for this workshop is over. Another will be announced in the near future.

On May 30, I will be co-hosting a workshop focused on unblocking the chakras. Chakras are energy centers that reside along the spine. The first one is located at the base of the spine and the seventh chakra is located at the top of the skull. When unbalanced, or blocked, these centers can manifest as physical problems in the body and psychological problems in the mind.

When: May 30, 2009
Where: Healing Essence Center, Concord, MA
Time: 10am - 2pm (includes lunch)
Cost: $65

See the Workshop Flier (PDF)

For example, the third chakra is located at the center of the torso, also called the solar plexis. If this chakra is unbalanced/blocked one may see issues such as sensitivity to external critics, invalidation by others, lack of self-esteem. Individuals are unaware that they are compromised, because they often defer to others -- believing others are smarter, more experienced, have more talent, and are more creative.

If the third chakra is balanced/unblocked, one will voice the truth, be listened to as an authoritative voice and will often hear what has not been said.

Yoga is a wonderful means by which to unblock troubled chakras. We will use a very slow flow through a series of yoga asanas that specifically target each of these energy centers. For those of you who already practice yoga, you will most likely recognize many of the poses. It is my opinion that yoga should be gently explored and should be accessible to all levels of fitness as well as all ages. Students will be shown modifications as well as advanced forms for the more experienced yogi.

My co-host Clarissa Sawyer is a Bach Flower Essence Practitioner with training in Reiki and clairvoyant chakra readings. Bach Flower Essence is based on the concept of balancing chakras through the use of specific flower extracts. Bach Flower Remedies are a safe and natural method of healing. They gently restore the balance between mind and body by casting out negative emotions, such as fear, worry, hatred and indecision which interfere with the equilibrium of the being as a whole. When prescribed properly Bach Flower Remedies allow peace and happiness to return to the sufferer so that the body is free to heal itself. The most well-known and commonly-used Bach Flower product is called Rescue Remedy. This product is often used on upset, irrational children. Parents, including myself, swear by this remedy.

Mail payment by check to Maureen Trunfio at 2 Adams Drive, Stow, MA 01775 (must be received by May 28).

Spring is the perfect time to reenergize your chakras! Please join us for this informational and transformational workshop!
